Tan Tin Hung (信興) is only a 3-minute walk from Grand St station and has all kinds of Vietnamese snacks, like bánh da lợn, khoai mì nướng, and bánh xu xê. The nem chua is $10 and comes individually wrapped in plastic. it’s a Vietnamese fermented cured pork sausage that kind of tastes like salami! It’s topped with garlic and chili, with coarse black pepper mixed in, so it has a pretty spicy kick. They also carry a pretty big selection of Southeast Asian groceries. FYI they’re closed on Thursdays.

No frills Vietnamese grocery. Great selection of dried goods that I can't find in other grocery stores. I came for some pantry items and the pricing was quite good for NYC. The ladies at the register are super friendly. Very neighbor auntie vibes.
i love this super market. it’s so hard to to find genuine viet ingredients in nyc run by viet folks and i always find my essentials at a reasonable price here. i’ve been coming for 8 years and hope to continue shopping here forever
